  • Oh yeah!

    Kool-Aid man!

    No, here we go.

Had a customer a few weeks ago now, came in with her daughter, bought a whole bunch of our Christmas kits, and asked, long before I finished ringing her up, if she could do it tax exempt without her form.
"So long as you know the information, I don't see why not. However, let me double check... *call FES M, who affirms what I just said, so I get out a form, and hand it to this nice lady*
Lady gets her tax free items, and heads out. I think nothing of it, it seemed pretty normal.

Until I'm closing out my drawer for the night, in the office, with the SM. SM lets me into the cash office, and immediately gets a phone call, which I only hear parts of while inside the cash office, and then, as I'm walking out of the office, I hear my name, and he suggests she can call our district phone number (1-888-MY STORE). So now, I'm getting worried. What could I have possibly done that was so bad that the DM would need to get involved? Is the SM just making things up to mess with me? What?

SM finishes the call, and turns around, to tell me, "You remember a lady who came through your line today? Had a purchase for the Girl Scouts?"
    "Er..."
"She also had her daughter with her?"
    "Oh, yeah!"
"She just called to compliment your service. You went above and beyond, she felt."
    *blush*

And that was the end of it.

Until yesterday, while I was sitting in the break room before my shift, SM came in to eat, and he mentioned, "So, that lady that complimented you? Got ahold of corporate, and they sent me a letter copy of their conversation, which I copied and sent on to the DM."
*head reeling... walls closing in* "Sweet."
    "I call murder on that!"
Working...
