FINALLY!
After 2 years of failure, whining to everyone about my current job. I finally got hired.
2 weeks ago today, I'd applied to Wawa that's just literally 3 minutes away on foot from where I live. They were quick to interview me not once but twice. There's a girl there "S," whom I've become friends with, who told the GM how little I was making at my current job for the length of time I've been working there...and apparently the GM had did

Well. yesterday I got a call right before I was supposed to clock in and it was the GM calling asking would I like to be a part of their team and it took so much not to
while on the phone with her. I waited til afterwards and it took about 5 minutes to calm down before clocking in. It honestly felt like Graduation all over again; that sense of accomplishment after years of hard work and toil. My co-workers kiept trying to convince me to stay as a second job but I at this point, no.
Yesterday I put in my 2 weeks notice.
This job is offering to pay me $1.75 more than I make now. I saw that as I was doing my paperwork this morning and it made me want to cry again. "M" was like "Please don't cry; welcome to the team." I'll probably cry one good time before the day's out. In essence, I want to thank everyone here for supporting me with my crappy job and emotional stuff that comes with it so thank you.
