Quitting gets you more money!

I was hating my job at michael's getting paid 9.62 an hour, so I had a hookup with a friend to get me a job over the summer at a company in manafacturing. Sure enough, when I told my manager I would quitting and would be making 18.50 at my other job, she counter offered to make me a manager, and to pay me 16$ an hour! That;s like a 6.50 raise! I'll be the highest paid department manager there, even making more than this lady who's been there for 9 years

Definitely a big congrats! That's an unheard of raise without a promotion in a retail environment. But, also, I wouldn't recommend sharing your raise with other workers lol.
