  • Have been a crew trainer for a week and now this...

So today at work, I'm doing what I'm supposed to do. My manager, D, comes up to me

    D: "How old are you,A?"
    Me: "Seventeen."
D: "When do you turn eighteen?"
    Me: "May thirtieth."
D: "Ok. We should get you your books soon so when you turn eighteen, you are ready to go."

Now,I'm already a crew trainer. Getting another book to work on means only one thing

I'M GOING TO BE A MANAGER!

Two weeks after I graduate High School, I will be a manager at my store.

They have been thinking about making me a manager, but never came to a decision. Now they have.

I know none of these people are on this site, but I have to say this.

To the people who said I couldn't do anything:
Holla! Not only will I get $2,500 to go to college, but manager classes count as college credits. I WILL be able to go to college. I see none of you have jobs at all, but I will be a boss at my job.

Doesn't that make you want to rethink how you told me I will never amount to anything? Because of you, I strived to be a better person to prove you all wrong. Ex-boyfriend I mentioned in my praising coworker's post, You called me a nothing, you called me low, but look where I am going in life. I'm doing something while you sit at home, wondering what to do next. I am taking action for my own future.

To some people, it may not seem like much, being a manager at McD's, but the pay is pretty good and I get college help. Plus, I can transfer to a store near wherever I decide to go to school, work there during the school year and then come back to my own store when I come home. Most of my life, I have been told I will never amount to anything. Now, I will be a boss.
"Kill the fat guy first?! That's racist!" - my friend Ironside at a Belegarth practice after being "killed" first.

      Don't settle, though!
Once you have management experience, you'll have to choose between moving up the McLadder or trying to branch into another company with better compensation packages but with the risk of running into corporate moopoo.

        Very well done...

I have found that those who say that you would never amount to anything were already jealous of your potential and your will to succeed. They tried to put limits on you, but you seem to know that there are really no limits.

Great work, you'll no doubt be a great manager and will no doubt inspire some of your coworkers to see no limits.

Good luck in college as well
