Yesterday, my boss had to have some eye surgery done, so I was left in complete charge of the store. There have been times when I was left alone in charge of the store, but this is the first time that I was completely responsible for everything.
Everything went just fine. Tater Tot came in 2 hours early so I could have plenty of time to get everything done by 10 (all paperwork is due at the office by 10 AM). My boss entered in whatever invoices we had from the day before so I wouldn't have to worry about them, etc.
Everything went so smoothly that I was able to send the paperwork in by 9 AM! Even my boss doesn't get it done that early most days. The money all balanced in the computer* (this was always my biggest issue when I would do it when the boss was around to double check). I even did a happy dance.
Got the order checked in with no problems (this can be an issue).
My boss told me this morning that I did a great job. WOOOOOO HOOOOOO!
*my paperwork actually should have been $35 short, because of a special payment, but I miscounted the safe for almost the same amount so we actually came out over, which made us even overall. :Þ
