yay promoted off the phones!

so I took a test for "offline"(non-phone)work last week, and got called into the bosses office on Monday -and handed the "sign here if you want this promotion" paper-yayness! So I'm off the phones, my TM is really happy(he's wanted me over there since I passed my initial agent exam*), and I got a .50 raise(21 more cents and I'll make $11 an hour!)

Sad thing is my test score was 75% and I was the top canidate-no one else passed, and I've only been taking calls for 3 weeks!

THAT'S AWESOME!! I didn't plan to get off the phones, but when an EMAIL position opened, I applied & got it. I love being off the phones, but they call me to take the occasional call. When I take those calls, I feel so rusty. It's sad, but you lose that stuff fast.

Any position that gets you away from the steaming piles of vomit we lovingly call "customers" is definitely a step in the right direction! Until we all reach such positions, all we can do is keep thinking they are not yelling at ME, but those ABOVE me. Seems to make it somewhat less painful.........at times.
