Where I work if some one writes a letter to either corporate or to GM and mentions your name you get $20. Well needless to say GM is a cheap @$$ who doesn't like to pay. We had a lady who was a local whose house caught on fire who we helped out a lot with letting her stay at hotel at a good rate and a lot of other stuff. She wrote a thank you note and mentioned a lot of people's names. So I asked him about it because he showed it to me when we got the letter. I asked him then and there for my $20 so that when I went to the bank I could deposit it. He said he was too busy even though he was doing nothing. 
He doesn't like to come in to work alot and stay plus I forgot so I didn't get a chance to ask him until today. When I first asked him he said no he didnt think it was legit and wasn't sure. So I started asking why not when would he know. Basically harassed him until I got busy. He got pissed went into his office and slammed the door. He came out like 10 minutes later slapped my check and coworkers $20 checks on the counter. He left shortly after that with out saying any thing.
