Ok guys, when I left work last night I was really down on my job. Now I'm not in retail anymore, but sometimes it's harder to stand up to people you see everyday than it is some random SC. Over the last few months in an effort to get promoted, I have taken on several new responsibilities. However some of these tasks were defaulted on to me when someone quit with no notice. So I had no training, and have been trying to feel my way through, making quite alot of mistakes in the process. Last night was another one of those nights where I got dragged into the boss' office and given a list of things I had FUBAR'd and had to fix. I was not a very happy camper to say the least when I left.
Well this AM, my supervisor came to me, and told me how she knows I am trying and that I am doing the best that I can, and she understands why I am making the mistakes I am, and then she gave me $500.00 cash as a bonus.
Where I am we don't do Christmas Bonuses, not everyone is going to be getting one. We get our company bonuses in March. I am absolutely floored. I am so happy I could almost cry. The best part is, my x-mas shopping is not going to have to go on my credit cards now!
