  • Got a job offer!

Drawbacks: It's a few miles further from home, so my commute will be about 10 minutes longer, each way, which means getting up earlier.

The task list looks rather daunting, though once I'm in my groove most of it should basically be a cake walk.

    Benefits:

The salary is an immediate $4 an hour raise over my current job. With an additional $0.50 an hour to come if I do well on my 90 day and 180 day reviews. Well, okay, its salaried and not hourly, but that's the equivalent breakdown.

I get nearly a month in vacation/sick/PTO days per year, to start. And an extra paid holiday.

I get a 20% discount on services (like massages ) on site. I also get 5 days per year where I can not only stay overnight but I can also take part in personal growth classes for free. And I can share those with friends/family, so my g/f can come too.

No more helpdesk, so I will only be doing one full time job. Whew!

Oh, and they pay so much more of the health, dental, and disabilty insurance that on top of the increased pay, I'll be taking home an additional $230 per month due to those savings.

My expected 'hours per week' at work is only 35 - 37 where currently it is 40.

After comparing all the pros and cons, there's just no real way for me to say no. So, I'll be calling back tomorrow to accept the job. Woo hoo!!!!!!
