Well....sort of.
As we've lost two supervisors fairly recently, we're sort of backed up on people who can effectively serve cigarettes and handle other roles. The average age of most employees is around 17/18 thereabouts, however there are only two of us who get night shift on a regular basis and aren't full supervisors. (there are only five of us total who are regular operators...well seven if you count the cross-trained folk.)
Well, as one of them was off for two weeks sick, I've had the chance to fill in to an extent. The others are all underage and/or haven't been with the company long enough.
This has basically meant that I do the following:
-Serve cigarettes (and get the hang of ID'ing people...any tips by the way?)
-relieve the supervisors for their 15-minute breaks (as they're paid breaks, it's not an issue if I need help-also, I have a fully trained manager on hand at all times.)
-answer most enquiries.
-thankfully I don't handle complaints yet...more luck though.
And to a lesser extent, that also means handling some of the lockup duties at the end of the night while the supervisor counts the drawers out.
