On my mom's prodding, I submitted my resume and a cover letter to the Treasury Dept here in Boston (grandpa was an agent, and the archivist in DC knew him). They don't have any openings currently (there was one 6-8 months ago, I think I showed that posting to the job coach who was too fixated on the skills I didn't have at the time), but I have an informational interview with the director on Monday.
*yesyesyes* If I can at least get on their radar, they seem to be more open to on-the-job training. Computer investigations/forensics, while there are academic certificate programs, seems like an area where you really need hands-on experience to grasp it fully.
