  • I'm a Good Girl!

I get off work from my current job rather late around 11pm local time. I also tend to loiter after and take a while coming home because I live with family. They can't quite figure out how to park in a fashion that other people can actually get past their cars in the garage to get into the house. My mom goes to work at 11:45 pm so I usually arrive home just after.

On this particular night I decided to get a snack from Taco Bell while I was in my 'waiting to go home' state. I swung in, placed my order and pulled up to the appropriate window. It took a few minutes, though things were quiet, and then the woman ran up and held out my bag with a cry of, "Here you are! Have a good night!"

Me: Oh! Here... *holds out debit card*
Taco Bell Girl: Oh, wow! I can't believe I did that. Thanks! *swipes card, waits on receipt and then remarks* You are so honest!
Me: *waves it off* Ah, thanks.
TBG: *hands out card* That was really honest of you. Would you like a drink? I'll give you a drink.
    Me: Uhhh, sure?
TBG: *preparing drink* Yeah, cause I would have been in so much trouble. Thank you for being honest!

That totally made my night. I could see a typical SC just driving off and leaving her to suffer once she realized, but I couldn't ever do that. I didn't even think about it, just politely thrust my card at her. And as a result I was rewarded in delightful diet pepsi. Yay!
"Oh, the strawberries don't taste as they used to and the thighs of women have lost their clutch!"
