I'm now a cosmetician! Now that I'm in the cosmetics department, I don't ever have to be a cashier again, I don't have to deal with the petty politics of the general sales floor, and best of all, I don't have a wear an ugly polyester vest anymore. Now I get to wear a black button down blouse, which is so much nicer looking and more comfortable.
I don't get a pay raise, but the perks of this position are so much better, including free product from the various vendors every so often, first crack at all the new cosmetics, and chances to go to a beauty school from time to time and get paid to do so.
My first shift is the 11th of February, so that means I also get the coming week off to prepare for my new job, including getting my new uniform and new name badge.
NO MORE CASH!
Okay, I'm way too excited about that.
