So I've been searching for work for awhile, and while the job I got isn't in my field, and it's only for four days, it's still pretty cool. I'm going to be helping to liquidate the studio that filmed a show I'm a big fan of (so sad it's ending!), so selling off props and wardrobe and such. I'm pretty psyched about it. Makes me a little bit of money and I get to see stuff that was in the show
(yeah I'm a geek). I basically got the job in the interview, and I live maybe two blocks from the studio so I don't have to spend money on bus passes which is a bonus.
I also have another opportunity, but I'm not entirely sure about that one. It sounds a bit like telemarketing, but not quite, and the company doesn't have great reviews when I look it up online (though those reviews are mainly for the sales rep positions, which is not what I've been hired for). So I'm going in to do some training for that on Sunday, and I will see if I feel comfortable staying there. They did ask about me having a cell phone, and if I have a plan with evenings and weekends, which concerns me a little, since I don't have one of those plans. I'm warily optimistic about it though, it could turn out okay, and if it brings some money to help pay student loans and rent well great.
Things seem to be looking up a bit at least!
