  • interviewing for an awesome position!

So I did an interview for a Design position with a plumbing company recently, they got me to do a bit of a test where they gave me a picture of a tap and I had to do a technical drawing in Adobe Illustrator just from looking at the printout and not tracing the image at all. I didn't think I had done that great, not badly, but not great, but I got a call back wanting me to come in for a second interview, which I had today.

Turns out the position is for Head Graphic Designer, and if I got the job I'd actually have someone working under me! I was even told during the interview that I was being put on the short list because the head of IT (the person interviewing me) liked me! It would be a lot of responsibility but I'm totally up for that! I made sure that she knew that as well.

Even if I don't get it, which I may not, there may be someone out there more qualified or that has some skill they need that I don't have or what have you, I'm happy that I know I make a good impression in an interview! Though it would be awesome to actually get the job of course!

I'm just really excited about it, I would totally be leaping up in my career if I were to get this position. And she said if they do end up going with someone else for the Graphic Designer position they may call me in the fall about interviewing to be their communications person (I can't quite remember what she called it exactly), basically doing all the social media type stuff for the company.

I'm probably getting too excited about this. haha

    ... wait.
I remember you talking about your gd job recently...
