    My 12 year old daughter was discovered yesterday by a music talent scout.

    Yesterday morning she had gone to the regional Solo and Ensemble compitition and had scored a "1" on her solo. A "1" is the best rating you can get. Yesterday afternoon she had been invited to an audition to do commercials. She got there and they asked her if she could sing. She sang her song that she did at Solo and Ensemble and she is to go back today with both of her parents present to sign a contract.

    Cool. Maybe you could encourage her to play an instrument so that more oppurtunities arise for her.

      Congrats first of all. It's tough getting into music. Don't let her get caught up in it though, keep her grounded...

      Second, I agree that some instrument lessons might be good. Makes her more of a, uh, threat... Not the right word, but ya know.
