For those of you not on my facething.
I had an ultrasound a while ago that showed I had a cyst. Figured more surgery but things took a turn for the unexpected when I was rushed into hospital vomiting violently. While I was in they scanned my gall bladder and found I had stones but that wasn't the cause. It was the cyst. The damn thing is the size of a melon and pressed on parts which objected. Thankfully it hasn't done that again but I was booked for surgery on the 10th of December.
As you might have noticed it's a bit past that now. I went in and was waiting to go into dreamland outside the theatre doors when the surgeon arrived and told me they could go ahead as part or most of the team was needed elsewhere and there wasn't time to do my procedure safely. (There had been a huge accident locally I found out later) I was naturally upset (and got an apology letter from the surgeon) but my date was rescheduled for Christmas Eve.
So yes as I'm having major surgery (opening me up and whipping an ovary with cyst (simple) and possibly removing another (dermoid) depending on if it's on the same ovary or on the other. It was hiding where it was on the scan. Good news is that there are no cancer markers showing in my blood. They will obviously test the fluid in the simple cyst anyway but it's very unlikely with no markers present.
