That ER made me go WTF is wrong with that nurse?!
The vibe I got from him was that he was on a power trip and was enjoying it very much.
Don't tempt pixies, it never ends well.

Panacea, correct if I'm wrong with this example.

Inflammation can come from a lot of things. Next time you cut yourself really good, like the next day, feel and look at the skin around the wound. It'll be puffy and hot. Like my thumb is right now because I sliced off a chunk slicing veggies with the mandolin last night.
      Correct!

Just twigged to 'teething fever'-- lemme guess, that low-grade-otherwise-inexplicable-fever a kid gets when their teeth come in is inflammation?
EDIT: I got a few ear infections as a kid, no big... but nowadays, what little I get in the way of "I am allergic to X tree this week" usually manifests as ear/in the neck 'leaking' feeling. I have to clean my ears out a lot, usually every other day, or scratch. Yes with a q-tip, I'm paranoid about hurting myself with them. :\

Heh, it's just something I noticed since I have a bad habit of cutting myself in the kitchen. And when I was going to school for pharmacy tech, they learned us just enough basic medicine to make us dangerous!

Seriously, after just the little bit of pharmacology that we got, drugs scare the hell out of me and I think anesthesiologists are gods.

            Yup, another example of inflammation

I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets cut on those things. I manage to take a good chunk out of some appendage or other every frikin time.

When I was in grade school, my mom tried to take the entire tip of her finger off with one of those things. She had a neighbor drive her to the hospital to get stitches and everything. It barely scarred, though.
It's little things that make the difference between 'enjoyable', 'tolerable', and 'gimme a spoon, I'm digging an escape tunnel'.

Oh, I don't hurt myself with just that. I'm talented at doing myself a mischief with sharp objects in general. When I did that, I had just gotten a cut on my other hand healed up. That one took about 30 minutes to quit bleeding and probably could've used stitches.
