Suddenly, PURPLE.

Ok, so I'm an extremely pale person. So pale, the confounded Twilight "vampires" would probably come to me for complexion advice. That's not all, though. Whenever I get cold, or gag, my skin goes...translucent, ish. You can see all my veins all of a sudden, and I basically look like I'm a light violet with dark violet veiny pattern. Its vaguely funny to watch people's reactions to it.

So I'm at the doc's office today getting checked over, and she's trying to check out my throat, so she's poking around with the tongue depressor. <boink!> she hit the back side of my throat, and I gagged.

Suddenly, PURPLE.

Doc's eyes go wide and she's like "WHOA, hold on there!" I was doing my darndest not to laugh because I didn't want to accidentally swallow the stick. :P

I'm becoming more and more convinced I'm either an alien or potentially developing mutant powers. <.<

heh. sis was weird like that as a kid too. if you touched her skin you left red handprints behind.

mom said one doctor she took sis to was GLARING at her, thinking mom had been hitting my sis hard because of the handprints. until the doctor saw that he was leaving handprints on her too.

Veins tend to dilate when we cough, and since your skin is so pale it is more noticiable than in most people.

Not quite a superpower, but cool for the reaction it gets out of people

I'm very pale, too, but I turn all pink. Mom says I was her "little pink angel" when I was a newborn.

My feet tend to turn purple when they get too cold, but pink everywhere else. Even my hands.

Being this pale, though, makes it easier for the doctors to draw blood from me, as they can see all the veins under my skin. It's sort of cool.

I have the same issue when I get cold. My skin tends to turn this disgusting-looking purple mottled pattern like certain types of lizards. It never bothers me much, it's just interesting.

Possibly it explains why my mom said that my REAL parents would come and pick me up one day... /david icke reference
