i was at the gas station fueling up as over the Easter weekend i'll be doing close to 500 miles. whilst i was in line for the pump the delivery arrived.

driver gets out, puts out the marker cones behind me - i was last in line. due to safety procedures they can not sell fuel whilst the delivery is underway.

there are bright orange cones across the entrance. i'm pumping my fuel, the driver is waiting for me to finish pumping so she can start and a car comes down the road, sees the bright orange cones, the fueling truck, the maintenance van... does an illegal u turn and drives into the exit and pulls up at a pump!

he was told to leave rather quickly.. he than points at me and asks why am i pumping.. was told i had been there before the truck arrived. he than jumps into his car and squeals the tyres as he left
The mere fact that we have the flamethrower means that someone, somewhere once said "You know, I'd really like to set those customers over there on fire, but don't possess the means to do it"

Your rules are extremely vastly different than the gas station I work at. Here the rule is dont knock over the orange cones the gas truck sets all around the truck. Severely limits access to half the diesel pumps (we only have 2, lol. and on the one that is limited, big trucks can get through e.g. F350s, ect. but not semis) and maybe a gas pump or two. But you can still fill up your vehicle at any other pump (my place has 18 total, if you include the 2 diesel pumps which are 17 and 18)

Still no excuse for this guy being a fucking idiot about it all. Shit's blocked off for a reason.
If anyone breaks the three pint rule, they'll be running all night to the pisser and back.

We don't have to close the petrol station when the tanker arrives, cuz we have a tanker bay. The one down the road does, tho.

Several times, when I've been getting something to eat at an "Aviator" truck stop, there'd be an announcement on the PA "Would (identifying truck) please move? We have a fuel delivery and you're blocking the tanker unloading area".
Any fool can piss on the floor. It takes a talented SC to shit on the ceiling.

So we're talking about a clown who pulls an illegal turn, wants you to run the risk of blowing up your facility so the turd can get fuel? Jesus. I thought dealing with morons where I worked was bad.

The real question is what idiot wants to fill up while a tanker is filling the station's tanks?
Seriously, that stirs up sediment like crazy in the tanks, sediment that will end up in your tank if you pump at that time. No thanks, I see those trucks and I drive right on past.

smiley, you'd be surprised...or maybe you wouldn't, given you;'re a veteran of this site. Seriously, though, I see people pull up and get gas while we're getting a delivery all the time. Hell, I've even seen them wave and talk to the tanker driver! It occurs to me, as I type this, that C-Store apparently has deathwishes for all its employees/customers, as there is NO restriction like the one mentioned in the OP.
