OK, wasn't sure if I should post this one here, since I witnessed this as another customer; or "Unsupportable", since it has to do with computers. If it's in the wrong place, I'm sure I'll move it.
Anyway, I was browsing in one of the stores that sold computer software, when I overheard this woman who needed to return some software she bought that would not work on her computer.
It seems she misunderstood the requirements (I'll have to give her some credit, since I'm sure a lot of people don't bother reading them at all.)
It said something like
4X CD-ROM drive
XX MB of RAM
She took it to mean that it would work if she had one or the other. She had the RAM, but not a fast enough drive (or maybe it was the other way around, I don't remember for sure), so it didn't work.
This was before copying got to be the problem it is today, and before stores started clamping down on returns of opened software, so the manager allowed her to return it. But I'm guessing he had trouble keeping a straight face. I know I did.
