Hello, I havent had much to say on this topic for a bit but finally ran across someone who wasnt exactly sucky but definately not utting her all into the job.
so far on this grand expedition across the country we have had great luck in finding people who are nice, pleasant and helpful as well as dang nabbin friendly.
Until tonight when we roll into North Platte Nebraska. We come rolling into the hotel and go to go inside the lobby. Leaning against the bulding out front was a woman smoking a cigarette. My first impression was not that she was the front desk clerk to say the least.
She asks us What we wanted in about that many words and when told we wanted a room for the night she snubbed her cig out and turned to go inside. Asked if we wanted one room and if it was two adults. All with a bored expression and no banter what so ever. At least she didnt ask if we wanted a single.........
(side story: My friend and I where coming back from dinner in Casper when these twin girls came walking up the hallway from the other direction and I overheard them say soemthign to effect of "they make a nice couple" when they thought we where out of ear shot.)
A bit later when we went down to explore the hotel (which by the way is very limited frills) she was sitting in the lounge with her feet up on the table smoking a cig watching tv. Not really sucky or anything just kind of a sudden change from the other places we've stayed this trip.
