Sucky Tim's stories?

Just moved and there's a Timmy's in my new town. Thinking about taking the fam there. If I see any SC's I'll fill you in!

I'm sure I mentioned it before, but I remember there was a time (I'm sure some of the locations have closed by now) when I went to Glace Bay, Nova Scotia (on Cape Breton). They had a Tim's outlet in the mall; a Tim's in the Mall parking lot, a Tim's across the road from the mall, and around a corner and down mainstreet a few blocks there was another Tim's.

Yeah, there are only two left in Glace Bay now. My town has two as well, and Sydney has around a dozen, I think. They apparently like their coffee and doughnuts over there.

Sydney also recently got a Starbucks when Target moved in, so it'll be interesting to see how it competes with Timmies. For now it's busy, but that might just be because of the novelty.

Now that we have established that Tim Horton's is a mainly Canadian chain of donut/coffee shops, are there any actual SC stories to be shared as the OP intended?

I just posted this story in another thread:

I work the midnight shift at a Canadian coffee shop named after a hockey player and I spend most of my time on drive thru but one night an SC came in and ordered a coffee and a couple of donuts.

SC: Uh, I need a coffee and two dounts.

ME: How do you want the coffee?

SC: Double double and I want it in a bag.

I make the coffee, slap a plastic lid on it and present it along with the donuts that are in a bag, folded over.

SC: Uh, I wanted the coffee in a bag, not the donuts.

ME: It will leak if I do that.

SC: Uh, but it's raining heavily outside, I don't want it to get wet.

ME: If I put the coffee in a bag not only will you be unable to drink it the bag gets wet it will break and the coffee will be on the ground.

SC: Uh, oh, yeah, okay.... *wanders off*

I've only been there a month and it's pretty good so far. I get an extra .50 per hour for working the midnight shift and free hot drinks donuts/timbits while I'm on shift. A lot of my late night customers are drunks coming out of the bars who clearly can't understand why they can't get a shitload of mega sandwiches and multiple soups at 3 am; the baker doesn't come in until 4 am and quite frankly we'd waste more than we sold if we kept the place running at a full service menu on the midnight shift.
