Went to see some fireworks the other day and saw this one. It wasn't sucky in the least, but it was very very strange.
I was wandering through a wal-mart parking lot, when I happened to notice this red pickup truck sitting in the fire lane loading. Something was sticking from underneath the truck, causing me to slow. Looking closer, I saw that the guy had what looked like a small bundle of eight or nine PVC pipes tied to his front tie rod. (or some part under the frame of the truck.)
Nah..I'm seeing things. Walking on past, I glanced back, only to see the OTHER end of the pipes sticking out the back. They too were tied to something under the truck.
I must have stood there a good three minutes or so, watching as the guy drove off. He just happened to turn to the left (driver's side) giving me a good look at his "cargo."
Apparently, he had tied the pipes under the truck in three places with this funky white plastic twine we used at lowe's to tie something down. Blinking some, I stared at it for the longest time. The stuff was hanging to where there was at most four inches clearance above the road.
The thing that struck me then, is I wonder if he really considered the wisdom of doing such. What would have happened if he hit a speedbump or pothole?
