No really I *don't* work here!

Stupid question... Have any employees ever played the "I don't work here" card on you? Has anyone heard of anyone doing it?

A colleague of mine did that as a joke to a customer, back when I used to work on checkouts. At the time, I was waiting for her to finish serving a customer so that I could do her break, when another customer walked up to her. "Do you work here?" he said. "No, I don't," she replied, obviously thinking he was taking the piss cuz there she was, in uniform and serving a customer. "Oh, OK," the second customer said and wandered off. The first customer was in hysterics at the sight, as were me and my colleague. To this day, we still don't know if the guy was on something, or just really stupid.
