I do not know what it is with the two apartments on the end, upper and lower. They have ALWAYS been the problem children, no matter who lived there. I am sick to death of the drama. Someone has been banging on the door next to mine for at least 10 minutes, loudly. Obviously whomever is there doesn't want to let them in. I've had to call the police. It's 2:53 am. I'm so glad I didn't go to bed earlier because I would've woken up to this. I'm in my bathroom because I don't want any of my other lights on; I don't want them to know it was me who called. I just lost it and I screamed STOP IT!!!! And it stopped. I don't know if they could hear me, probably not, since I am across the apartment with my bathroom door closed. I think maybe the police are here. The dispatcher was trying to get info. out of me about the knocker, but I was not going to open my door. Who knows if there is some drunk, violent person out there? And there is a little boy who lives there. I'm so upset that my heart is pounding. I'm tired of this.

Same thing happened at our old apartment in Cowtown. I have shouted "hey moron if they don't answer the door it means they aren't home." Voices are hard to localize if you shout from within your apartment. Another good one is "I have pepper spray." check out Napflix they have some Bob Ross and pretty coral reef videos if u need some help calming down.Last edited by WishfulSpirit; 01-28-2017, 05:18 PM."I try to be curious about everything, even things that don't interest me." -Alex Trebek

Hoping you can find something quickly. I know how insane-making that can be; my last apartment was like that. When I first moved in my one neighbour was very, very quiet -- which was good, because for some reason, the wall between my apartment and his was (or so it seemed to me) much thinner than the wall between my place and the apartment on the other side.
Then Mr. Quiet moved out and Mr. Party-Hearty-Hard-Drinking Asshat moved in. He cranked up his music to the max, rattling windows and walls in the apartments all around him, at all hours of the day and night.
Neither the super nor the owner would do a damned thing. The only time anything was done was when the racket was loud enough to hear in the parking lot. And we were on the fifth floor. (In fact the super said to me "Don't call me after 9 p.m.; call the cops." So of course I call the cops and they say "Call your super.") I was never so glad to get out of a place in my life.Customer service: More efficient than a Dementor's kiss

A happy ending
Nearly a year ago I purchased a unit. It was the 3rd one in a row of 6, so I have neighbours both sides, and both of them have neighbours.
The lady one side of me is very quiet, goes out a lot during the day and (mostly) waters her plants front and rear about dusk every day.
So I had lived here for a week before the neighbours on the other side started arguing. They were both in their early twenties and had just had a baby. The first argument was like a full blown war one morning. The girl started screaming like she was being strangled - but she wasn't because the boy came running out the back door and ran down the back fence, around the side and got into the car out the front while the girl continued to scream.
This sort of thing went on twice a week for months. I had to stay here, as there is nothing else in this town that I can afford to buy. I complained to the Real Estate agent who was renting this unit, No action. The police were called (several times) and were just ignored.
I started complaining to the Body Corporate. The fights continued. Finally one day they moved. Then the owners were there cleaning up. They told me that the unit was completely trashed. Big holes in the walls, broken tiles everywhere and the back door that was new only 12 months before was completely destroyed. The Real Estate agent who was supposed to be inspecting the unit on a regular basis and taking care of complaints claimed there was only one complaint in the entire time and they knew nothing about any damage.
The new Agents have put new tenants in there. It looks like two couples who must get along really well because I never hear them. Once a month they have some visitors and gather in the back yard for a discussion and (I assume) some drinks. They are always finished by 9PM
The Police have not been here since they moved in.

I hope you set the record straight and the Real Estate agent got stuck with the bill!Quoth gerund View PostThe Real Estate agent who was supposed to be inspecting the unit on a regular basis and taking care of complaints claimed there was only one complaint in the entire time and they knew nothing about any damage.

I did tell the owners, but they had already sacked the original agents. Also they looked at getting the police to charge the old tenants with wilful damage, but the Police said it was a civil matter.Quoth eltf177 View PostI hope you set the record straight and the Real Estate agent got stuck with the bill!

I can hear the new neighbours (about once a month) talking and laughing in their back yard. It's really low key, but after listening to the screams from the previous ones the laughter is like music to my ears.
