  • Just a nice little interaction this evening.

I was out late getting a nice pizza for dinner when I decided to stop by Kohl's on my way back. Did a bit of browsing and scored a nice soft fuzzy purple pillow on clearance (5.99, down from original price of 29.99! Whee!); that was the only thing I bought (Kohl's = temptation!).

The store was closing soon, so I got in line to pay. Ahead of me was another customer (not an SC, just a nice reg'lar customer) buying a *ton* of clothes and stuff (as I overheard it, she was preparing to go on a cruise with her family so maybe they needed/wanted some nice new stuffages to take on their trip - I've done the same thing myself sometimes). Took a few minutes for the cashier to ring everything up, and I just stood there quiet, in a relatively good mood (for reasons not the least of which being that I am moving OUT of this sand dump called Florida, yay!), waiting my turn.

I guess the cashier found this remarkable, because she thanked me several times for being so patient during the wait (Me? Patient? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA *is ADD-star graduate of Insta-Gratification* ). And the transaction concluded most happily with each of us wishing the other a pleasant evening.

Just a nice little story I thought I would share. I freakin' love Kohl's, I always have good experiences when I go there.

I love Kohl's. Just about every time I go there, the stuff I buy is on sale and I don't realize it. (And I LOOK for signs!!) I don't go there NEARLY often enough.

      Wow. You're like, the anti-SC.
They see sales signs everywhere, even where they don't exist.
You don't see them anywhere, even where they do exist.

Maybe if you ever accidentally bump into an SC, you'll both cease to exist, like when anti-matter meets matter. You'd better be careful.

If you have to ask, it's probably better posted at www.fratching.com

I was in a Jewel-Osco in Zion, Illinois this weekend and the lady there was awesome traded Canadian tourist stories (since I was one) and such.... Gas station folks were awesome at all the places I stopped, and the people in Wisconsin Dells were incredible The cashier at the A&P in Sault Ste. Marie was a bit surly and uncommunicative though *sigh* I was still thrilled as hell to make it back to Canada though (at 2am, mind you).

Ooh, Canada! <3 A friend and I are planning a trip up to Sudbury to visit another mutual friend this summer...What town do you hail from?

I've never been to Zion, despite having been a lifelong Illinoisan (my current year-and-a-half of exile in Florida excepted). I have been somewhat close to that general area though, and it is pretty in Northern Illinois.

I live in Ottawa, about 5 hours from Sudbury (although I drove through Sudbury twice this weekend, once on the way to Wisconsin, and once on the way back) It's REALLY pretty there, and they have this really neat type of rock that I've never seen before in Ontario... it's all black on the surface and almost looks magma-ish. Must be from the Nickel mining... Go see the big Nickel while you're there It's apparently 30 feet tall - we wanted to go, but couldn't spare the time it would take. It's in a theme park now that looks really interesting! Enjoy your trip

I hate Kohls. My best friend registered there for his wedding. When I went to the local store I could not find anything decent from his registry. And no one would help you. I pushed one of the call buttons and waited for almost ten minutes, nothing. So I left, and decided to order online. I did, and a couple of days before I was due to leave for the wedding I get an email telling me that the item I had ordered was now unavailable. So I have nothing for a gift now. When I get to WI I go to a local Kohls there, again, nothing.
