Yeah, but... I'm not in Canada. I just looked up the Ohio code. It's perfectly legal to pass on the right here if you have at least two lanes going in the same direction.

Many states that have "no passing on the right" laws only apply them to non-freeways.

Massachusetts (my old home state) has such a law, but it does not apply to freeways (I once got warned for it on US-6 in Eastham, where the cop told me of the freeway exception). Never looked up my current home state (Minnesota)
