It goes way beyond just the attorney. Our board doesn't know how to be a board so they're listening to them, but they're to wrapped up in themselves to even care about improving anything.
We just had a special assessment to help pay for our roof repairs (after over 3 years of complaining). Our president said "I'm in the same boat as you all are", one owner said "You don't even live here" (she doesn't, the bylaws say you have to be an owner to be on the board, when she left a "friend" of hers put her on his deed. (Mysteriously, the IRS was informed of that).
