I do the perimeter of the store first, because that's where the "whole" foods are (meat, dairy, vegetables, fruits, bakery) and then, if I need anything down the aisles, I'll do those last, so I don't impulse shop myself into going over budget or buying junk food. By the time I get to the junk food, I'll look in my cart, see all the good food already in there, and be much less tempted
