Unbelievably Stupid!

I once pulled into a gas station that I never ever go to, went to get out of the car, and saw the guy coming up to my window. (didn't realize it was a full-serve, I never intentionally pick full-serve) So I sit there, get the tank filled, hand him the cash. I reach for the key to turn it, and discovered that there was no need, I never actually turned the car off. I still can't understand how neither one of us noticed it. Oh well, to paraphrase: "any day you don't turn a gas station into a smoking crater is a good day".
