This happened a couple months ago to my Brother, who works in a local police department.
At about 2 or 3 in the morning my brother got a call to investigate a burger alarm going off for the club house at a golf course. When he got on site, he saw that someone had attempted to pry open the window to the men's locker room, but didn't get it open enough for someone to climb through it. Walked around to the side of the clubhouse that faces the golf course, and saw someone had taken a push golf cart, and thrown it through one of the plate class windows, to gain entry to the club house. When he gets inside, he sees a lady sitting at the bar with 2 drinks and offered him one of them. The lady broke into the bar's liquor cabinet and poured 2 drinks. One for her, and one for the officer that she knew was going to be coming to arrest her.
. He politely declined, but did have a nice set of chrome bracelets for her to wear to return the favor.
He said, the lady didn't live to far from the course, and while she had gotten in trouble in the past, she wasn't someone you would categorized as a 'Frequent Flyer' He also noted, that if she had just broken in, she would've gotten hit with a misdemeanor, but since she went after the booze, he was forced to charge her with a felony.
