At some point, B has had enough of her ranting, and calmly tells her:

"Ma'am, I'm a seasoned gamer. I've been playing games for years. My kid sister is a gamer as well. Most of our circle of friends are gamers. Trust me, it's not games that make people violent. It's people like you."

She was shocked silent. It was so awesome.
B is 13 kinds of awesome.

I question my sanity every day. Sometimes it answers.

They weren't behaving as if she had raised them.
I thought something along those lines, but I couldn't put it into words.

Wow, that woman sounds downright American. Last time I visited Norway, everyone was super nice and I never saw a single person acting like that.

Excuse me? Bad customers are everywhere. I've had my share of bad customers from all different countries. There are people from all over the place posting their horror stories on this board. It's not just America, it's everywhere. And we're not all fat either! You should know that considering you're from Washington.

Calm down Gabrielle. I made no mention of the womans weight so I am not sure where that is coming from. As for bad customers, I know they are everywhere, I was being facetious.

Sorry...it's just that it's only funny the first 50 times you hear crap like that. I'm not a freedom-fries-eating-patriot and I can take a joke, it's just that I've been hearing a lot of bad criticism lately all over the place from foreign friends, my LJ communities, blogs...etc...it's getting old. I'm really starting to take offense. I know everyone hates us for what Bush is doing, but what most people don't realize is that we all hate him! I didn't vote for the guy! I wish people would lay off. It's not like I make fun of other countries, not even france.

As for the fat part, that wasn't really aimed at you.

I've always noticed that people always complain about something amidst a group of people who happen to like said thing that the complainer is whining about. Then again, a lot of people are stupid and don't realize this.

I'm still wondering what she was doing in a store that sells games in the first place if she hated them that much... I just try not to think too much about that, or my brain will break

I know that not all Americans are stupid, fat and lazy, or combinations thereof. Heck, my girlfriend is American, and she's one of the most wonderful people I know (but then again, I might be biased ). The problem is that most Americans we hear about are the horrible ones, which gives a bias that isn't fair to you decent ones.

Trust me, she was all Danish. She just seemed to believe that the US was the Holy Grail of knowledge and wisdom, and with no offense to anyone, with leaders like Bush in place, that probably is highly unlikely.

I see, American by proxy (please don't hit me Gabrielle, I'm teasing, I love my country, see USA)

That lady is crazy! I think I'd have called the cops if I had little kids left unattended for a long period of time, too. That's not cool...

...I'll crank up Weird Al's "Trigger Happy" mainly for the line ... 'there's no feeling any greater, than to shoot first, and ask questions later...'
Wow. My friends and I used to do that... we'd pop that CD on in the car, roll down the windows and sing-a-long. Good thing people weren't as paranoid back then...we'd have all been arrested.

                      Thanks for the memory, protege.
I will not shove “it” up my backside. I do not know what “it” is, but in my many years on this earth I have figured out that that particular port hole is best reserved for emergency exit only. -GK

                        I
I'd love to, but I have the feeling it would take quite a bit of money. We're in Scandinavia, and I'd have to bribe him to keep him away from his girlfriend and the Wii
we get those in scandinavia too? i'm glad i've not run into them yet then...
