Okay, so, Christmas Eve tradition for my brother and I is I get invited over to his place, and we watch the Christmas episodes of Futurama. This year, the festivities included Animaniacs and some Robot Chicken, but otherwise, pretty much the same. Around 7:00, we're starting to get hungry, and seeing as my brother doesn't like to cook, he figured we'd order pizza.
We tried to order Papa J's... My brother did it online, and got a special for two pizzas, which would've been more than enough for us.
Then he realized he'd ordered it for pickup (that was intended) but at the wrong store, so he went back a page to reconfirm at a different location, only to realize the order was now four pizzas long. The website said there was no way to fix orders, and to call the store to change anything.
Bro tried, but the worker there told him they couldn't alter orders in store that'd been placed online, and that they were closing in 15 minutes. Bro gets the phone number necessary to change our order, and we get in the car to head over, he calls the number immediately, and has to wait about five minutes before he gets to anyone. No biggie on the wait, but the person he gets hold of claims she can't do anything but cancel the order. And then, bro can go back on the site to re-place the order.
Except, we're in the car, and there wouldn't be enough time to place the order again.
So, he gets the order cancelled, and we decide to go to a supermarket to grab a take & bake pizza and drinks.
WalMart was closed, and had a police officer stationed outside.
So, we go over to Tom Thumbs, and go right in, as they're still open. We grab a large four cheese pizza, and they had a special, buy two cases of soda, get two free, so we got a pizza and four cases of soda for under $20, which was about half the price of ordering Papa J's...
