So my boyfriend and I went to a local chinese resturant that we frequent often the other night. This place knows me pretty well, to the point where the owner and always chat for a few minutes to catch up. Anyway we went in to grab some crab cheese wontons and go. As we were waiting for our food a mother with two little girls sits next to us. The youngest girl somehow makes her drink go flying out into the middle of the floor, right infront of where the waiters come to pick up food. Now the owner is busy with her backturned checking about 5 orders that need to go out, so she doesn't see this happen. And what does mother do? Quietly gets her children up, gets another drink for her daughter and then sits down like nothing happened.
Now this place is really, really busy right now, and I turn to my boyfriend and tell him I'm going to tell the owner about the spill because it was huge, and someone could get hurt. I say it loudly enough so that the mother hears me. Just then a waiter comes speading up to take an order out, and jump to the side to avoid the spill at the last second, causing him to bump into the owner and knock over the food order in her hand. She gets upset and yells at him. Know I am pretty sure this guy is new, because I recognize alot of the waiters and waitresses and I'd never seen him before, and I felt bad because it wasn't his fault, it was the lady who didn't let anyone know there was a spill (we waited until she came back because we thought she was going to let them know). So I stood up and told the owner it wasn't his fault, that the family next to us had spilt a drink and didn't let anyone know. She apologized and told the family to get out of the resturaunt. It was great.
