The other night my fiance and I went to Walmart.
Anyway, it was pretty late, around one in the morning or so and it was pretty much a ghost town. I noticed tons of employees around, which made me happy because usually when I need help I have to run all over the store to find someone.
Well, I was really excited to find these cute pajamas and wanted to try them on. I went to the fitting rooms and there was nobody there. Oh, I figured they were just putting away merchandise or maybe assisting another customer. I waited a good ten mins and then started to look around. Nobody. It was as if all the employees I saw earlier ran like hell and just disappeared.
I understand being busy and stuff but maybe they could've left a door open or something? I hope I'm going down into SC ville or anything.
After searching up and down each isle, I found a woman putting merchandise away. She had on a blue shirt but no Walmart name or name tag or anything. I almost wondered if she was a customer herself. I asked that question that we all hate. I even felt embarasssed to ask.
"Do you work here?" I wanted to crawl into a hole. Thankfully she did.
"Um, I'm sorry to bug you but is there anybody that can help me, I'd like to try these on."
She sighed pretty loud. "You know instead of coming all the way over here you should've just gone to the front of the store and went up to a checker."
I was a bit shocked. It made sense but damn if I ever said anything like that at my job, I'd have gotten into trouble.
"Go over there. They can call a csm, sm or whatever." And then she turned her back on me.
I admit it, I was stunned. I was grumbling all the way back to the fitting rooms. I figured, screw it.
But as I approached it, I saw a girl coming out of one of the fitting rooms and just before she shut the door I was like: Wait!
We both had a good laugh and I got to try on my clothes. But still, I understand it may not have been her department but she was a bit rude with me. I thought maybe she had a bad night or something. Am I being over dramatic?
The only good thing, I bought the pjs and they are awesome.

...
I guess some stores only have phones at the front of the store? Which, to me, doesn't make much sense and seems to be a safety hazard.
