So I was buying some food stuffs this morning at my local grocery store, when I see a young woman with her kid, she tries to pull out a shopping cart, but it is kind of hard to do with a child in your hand. So, being the nice type of guy I am, I helped her and received a thanks.

I minded my own business and continued my shopping spree, bought some sugar, coffee and the likes, when I see an old woman trying to grab stuff from an upper self. Being the nice guy that I am, I help her and grab it for her. I get another thank you.

So, I'm done with my spree and proceed to the exit, I pay and pack everything in my bag. Walk out the door and WHAM. The Bag rips open and spreads all of my things over the ground, spilling some stuff.

Karma is a bitch sometimes.

But then I got some nice compliments about my hair today, so it evens out

I think OP is confusing Karma with Murphy. He's a sneaky law, and could facilitate the confusion with his works.

What's that got to do with Karma? I'd call it ironic. The irony is that you helped all those people but couldn't help yourself. Kind of like a guy who gives up smoking & that day is run over by a tobaco truck when he crosses the street.
