I noticed that too. But, at least we *can* claim that the first Big Mac was invented here in Pennsylvania

If they only served "American" food she would complain she only got burgers every night.

She'd better not ask for a freakin "hot dog" then.

If she does....tell her "Sorry, it's not American!"

                Yep. It's really a Frankfurter.
They just stopped calling it that and started calling it "hot dog" cos of all the anti-german feelings during WW2.

Okay, now I'm craving kielbasa and saurkraut! And I don't know if there's a shop here in town where I can get either...*sobs*
There must be. We spilled all over the world and there are many Polish grocery stores worldwide.

Then there are wholesale dealers online, I just don't remember the names.

It's also rare to see prepackaged kielbasa that doesn't contain beef, chicken, or turkey. I did find a semi-local store that makes their prepackaged house brand with pork only. XD
Kiełbasa with beef, chicken and turkey? Just WTF?

Incorrect. The term hot dog was in popular usage by 1890, about half a century before WW2.

There was something else that they called it during World War 2 though. I forgot the term though.
