And what power-mad jerkass gives a ticket for fives miles over going downhill anyway??
The cops in my borough, that's who. Because my area has very little crime, they have nothing better to do...since Dunkin' Donuts closed

    Labor Day weekend.

Not only did he give me a ticket for it, but he shot over from the other side of the highway to do it!

Which screwed me up once I got into the Saturn. Got my first speeding ticket like that. The cop really didn't care my comments, but the car wasn't shaking, how was I to know I was speeding? (going 75 in a 70, going downhill.. grr)

Wow, what a way to get a ticket. Tell, please, was it the end of the month (don't try to tell me cops don't have quotas, I've heard COPS at least imply otherwise) or a holiday weekend? That's when they're all out.

Wow. Do they even go that fast and stay assembled?
    Barely, just barely.

I would think anything over 60 would cause it to shake itself apart on the wind friction.
Actually it was anything over 70.

    Sniffle, sniffle.

I miss my little Geo. It was blue.

I got it up to about 100mph going down the big scary hill.

Totally screwed up my speed-o-meter with that stunt.

I love pulling up next to those SUV at the pump. I'll say loudly, "Dang, 6 bucks to fill up my empty tank."
hehehe! I do the same thing

When gas spiked last month, we paid over $10.00 to fill hub's Ultra Glide I was a little surprised and said to the clerk "Wow, I can remember when...wait, you don't want to hear this." She smiled sadly and said "I can remember those days, too."

On another note, we'd mention frequently that we really should get a big wind up key and attach it to the Metro. Lots of laughs.
    Something like this? http://www.windupkey.com/models.htm

Some years back, there was a customized VW Beetle in Hot Rod magazine with a huge windup key on it! This particular car used a VW bodyshell over a custom-built chassis...with a Chevy V8 in the nose One thing I liked about that car, is that it looked 'stock' except for the larger rear tires.

Ah, the Metro...the only car I know of, that can be carried home if it breaks down
We'd always ask her why she bothered looking for parking spaces...it could be carried with us into the store/restaurant/apartment.

"Hey, look at that 'S' car go!"

    That was bad.

Did it have a big "M" on it???
No. It had a big 'S' on the roof, and another big 'S' on each of the doors. That way, whenever people saw it, they'd say...

"Hey, look at that 'S' car go!"

My friend used to have a fun description that my old Metro was nothing more than a sy motorcycle with a hard candy shell....

You forgot the Yugo. It trumps all cars for carriability.
Well, considering that there aren't many of those about now...I thought Metro was an ideal subsitute. Of course we can't forget the Ford Aspire, Ford Festiva, or Subaru Justy either
