Why in the hell does anyone buy the damn things.

A family I babysit for has one, and it serves a practical use. See, it's the only vehicle where you can fit 3 car seats abreast. They have 3 girls, ages 2.5, 5, and 7. The baby is in a car seat, and the older two in high-backed booster seats. They don't fit 3 abreast in any other vehicle except the H2. It can be hard having 3 kids in car seats when it comes to cars.

That, and they're REALLY well off. They can afford the gas haha.

Hah! My Jeep can fit three abreast as well. Been there, done that. Sure, it's a bit of a squeeze, but you can get the doors shut without pinching little kiddies' arms.

Back about two years ago, I was helping out a friend who has three boys aged about 3, 5, and 7. One in a high-backed carseat, the other two in high-backed booster seats, and we got all three buckled in nice and safe in my Jeep Grand Cherokee.

The boys figuring out how to undo their buckles, on the other hand....
