Worrying trend

I don't like calling customers "guests" for one simple reason. Guests are expected to act like civilized human beings. If I had a guest in my home that acted like some of these customers....?

Probably weirder for me because I'm used to hearing "patron" in it's older form, as someone with money sponsoring someone in an enterprise (usually in the liberal arts categories) that typically doesn't pay.

Around here, we're more likely to think you mean tequila!
