    Overheard at the local Popeye's

    Employee to customer waiting for her food: Did you have one leg, spicy?
    Customer: No, I had one drumstick, spicy.

    All my life, I've heard leg and drumstick used interchangeably.

      Maybe she mean just the drumstick? When you see "chicken legs" in a recipe, they usually mean the drumstick and the thigh still together.
      It's floating wicker propelled by fire!

            To me: Leg=drumstick OR drumstick+thigh.

            Depends on context.

              I always heard it as thigh, drumstick/leg, leg quarters(both).

              But this debate is irrelevant to me, I am a breast man myself.
