  • if only....

i think this is a place to put this. if not, i apologize in advance$$

so i was online, and looking at a local restruant ive heard about. they had a copy of their actual menu online....towards the middle i found this:

"We "think" there is an ordinance in Wheatland that says if your child is roaming freely without supervision and causing havoc, we are allowed to sell them to a band of gypsies that comes in every friday for the fish fry .So please keep and eye on YOUR children."

and the emphasis on 'your' is theirs, not mine. if only we can all say that to our customers.....

By the way, in case you didn't figure it out, Wheatland is the town the restruant is located

I'd kidnap a child just for the occasion.
How was I supposed to know someone was slipping you Birth Control in the food I've been making for you lately?

Oh, the wrongness of that statement, when taken out of context...

Just when I think this place can't get any lower, someone shows up with a shovel

You guys make being a dirty old man positively mainstream.

              Thanks

If that policy were true, there wouldn't be any children left....or very few. Everywhere I go, children are running rampant, and their parents are on their cell phones or chit chatting with friends having reunions while their kids tear apart Wal-Mart or Crapplebees.

Now see, I would TOTALLY go out of my way to patronize this place simply because of their (albeit tongue-in-cheek) kid policy.

                  /rant on

I put in my time for YEARS with my kids in restaurants, and the first time they set a foot wrong, they were out the door or into the bathroom for a 'talking to' or a butt smack.

There were at least two occasions that I remember where we actually had to pack our food to go because my youngest was still acting the fool, despite a trip or two outside.

Now that they are older and I can go to restaurants in peace either with or without them, it PISSES me to no end when I see these kids being allowed to run wildly, scream, yell and practically TRIP servers with their antics, all with NO admonishment from their oblivious parents.

Damnit, I put in my time of making sure my kids didn't bother people and now it's my turn to enjoy a meal in peace.

                  /rant off
