    Holy crap in a basket, what a nutty lady!

    Typically though, if the computer craps out and depending on how spendy the stuff is, I'll look up a previous copay if they've had it before, and if so will just charge them what they've been paying, or I'll call the insurance company, sometimes they can tell me what the copay should be for that med. If it's a cheap one, then I'll just charge them whatever their basic copay is. If it's a spendier one or one that may or may not be covered, I'll ask if they'd like to pay up front and get a refund if possible after the computer's back up again.

    Egads, she had the option of going somewhere else, I'm sure there's other pharmacies around.

      Wow.

      There is NO excuse for that kind of behavior, unless she truly does have some sort of mental illness and has been off her meds for a while.

      At least no one thought that YOU had thrown the meds...
