ip makes a huge point and i concur:

mom spawned him, mom is responsible, not two younger children who need care of their own.

that's a special kind of non parenting right there.

that is sad. I feel very sorry for the other three. It's likely they have to sit around with next to nothing and watch the demon child do whatever he wants. people like that shouldn't be parents. That's yet more proof that one should need a license before becoming a parent.

Ok, reading this seriously just gave me a headache. How in the world does any parent think that that is an ok thing to do? I mean, you're the parent, shouldn't you be, oh I don't know, parenting? And isn't it usually the older child watching the younger children because the older one is more mature and self aware? And a parent shouldn't even do that too much. Major suckiness.

OK, so the oldest child is having to be watched by his younger siblings? Does this seem right to anyone else?
Nope. Something is really screwed up in that picture...

Note: I'm being completely facetious here.

Does anyone else see the irony in allegrasparkle's avatar of a child duct taped to the wall?

Ree, I was thinking the same thing about possible disability on the part of the child.

It's still absolutely the mother's responsibility. I agree that if the younger kids were a little older, perhaps they can be asked to keep an eye on their older sibling with problems. But a 5-year-old should not be expected to control any sibling. If a child is not old enough to be on their own in a store, they are not old enough to be "babysitting" their siblings on a shopping trip while mom ignores them.
