Mom and daughter at Best Buy for an IPOD

We ordered dd's iPod straight from Apple. The price was the same as the stores, but they engraved the back of it with her name for free and they didn't charge for shipping.

She hasn't had need to use it, but I like the peace of mind you get from the fact that her name is on it in a way that cannot be removed easily.

I believe another member has said they are tracked on attach rates, though. Not the same as commission, but almost as annoying when you know exactly what you want when you go in.

A while back I heard the BBY sups and managers get bonuses when the salespeople get the service plan and accessory #'s up high enough. Which is sucky for 2 reasons:

1. You're working to pad someone else's paycheck. Nice huh?

2. When the #'s get low the sups and managers will actually treat the salespeople like shit and basically pressure them into, well, pressuring the customer. After all, they want their money.
