Okay, pic for the "hate to death"ers, then moving on.
I could see this be a case of the bus is usually late, and today it wasn't, so she missed the one she normally takes. This would then make her think that the bus was even later. Of course, she's still a whiny such-and-such for not shutting up after it was explained to her.
I've had busses that are chronically late, suddenly show up on time, and I was banking on the "they're always late" factor because I was running a bit behind.
Then I've rode ones that are on time every single time, and then the driver changes and he swears it is impossible to make the route on time, so I need to stop complaining. The bus started being 5 minutes late all the time, and that was enough for me to miss my connection. I hated that. Had to leave a half hour or hour earlier just because I got a suckier driver.
