Ways to get me to play on the phone

Note: during the phone calls at no time did I raise my voice, nor did I have "attitude" in my tone. Just normal speaking voice.

so Sat July 12th @9 am I answer my phone and hear . . ."Please hold for" (recording) then I instantly hear "Is Robert there?" No hello no this is so and so . . .nada . .. so I say "Who's calling"
her"Kim"
Me "Kim what company are you with?"
her"You''re being rude . . stop being rude and let me talk to Robert"
me"Kim, I would like to speak to your Supervisor please"
her "No your rude I don't want a rude person talking to my supervisor"
me"Please get your supervisor on the phone . .remember you called me"
dial tone . . .yup she hung up on me
This past Sat July 19 @9 am - phone wakes me up . . .. again. hear the same hold for.
male "Hello may I please speak with Robert?"
me "What company are you with?"
male "two letters company"
me:"Well there is no Robert here . . .never has been . . .your call woke me up again this weekend cause the rude lady last week hung up on me"
male:"this is the first call I have made to you"
me"True - last week it was the same recording at first . . .and a lady named Kim who wouldn't let me speak to a supervisor"
male:"Well we have a lot of ladies here"
me "Named Kim? Why don't you put me through to a supervisor?"
male:"I have taken your number off our list."
me"S'ok I 'll still file with Do Not Call as you called a number listed that you have no business dealings with . . .and you woke me up at under 3 hours of sleep."
male"Well we have no idea of when you go to bed."
Me"True but I am still reporting"
then I hung up that time


My deal is this. They were looking for Robert with the same last name as that on my phone listing. Now my phone is two letters and then a super common last name. (Neither letter being "R")
I understand using the phone book to look for people who owe you money (I do know some collection company names)
If they have a unique last name that could work in your favor. However, just cold calling all listings especially with that last name . . .that would be against Do Not Call List.

Also, if you call and wake me up . . .and you don't have a real reason for doing so . . .I am going to be a jerk and mess with you.

I have a reason!! An offer of a job interview!! I got one after 4 hours sleep last week. It was great.

Heh. I used to live with roomies and one of their freinds had the same first name as me. She used our address for mailing/billing purposes, so her very conservative parents wouldn't find out she was living with her boyfriend.

And then the collection calls started. The first time I was asked, "Is R there?", I said I was speaking. The caller started prattling about being from suchandsuch company and I was, "Wait, what? Who are you? Which R are you calling?". Not sure the callers believed me when I claimed to be the "other" R, but I learned to ask which one people were calling for.

Our home phone number is listed under my first initial - A - and my maiden name (a common Irish last name). I've had collection calls for both an Anne & Anthony (common Irish last name). Oi. I have to tell them that I'm not either one. Easier for them to believe I'm not an Anthony. But for Anne? My first initial is A!!! It has to be Anne!

What the hell? They wouldn't let you speak to a supervisor? How shady is that!
If there's any way to get that number I'd call them personally and ask to speak to someone right away and tear them, and Kim, a fucking new one.
But I'm having a bad day today, so they would be where I would focus my wrath.
