  • Local KFC got to hell in a handbasket

There's a local KFC that seems to be getting worse and worse. The last incident pretty much affirmed my family is never visiting this location again.

My father went in to get both of our dinners. He was getting two extra crispy breasts with mashed potatoes and baked beans.

He was getting for me an original breast and thigh and potato wedges.

The guy preparing the food put on my dad's plate macaroni and cheese. My dad immediately pointed this out, and the guy went "Sorry" and then started to scoop out the mac and cheese and clean the partition in the plate with a napkin!

My dad then demanded a new plate, and the guy said 'Whatever,'. That's when the manager, who really is doing her damned best to keep the place afloat, shouted at him 'What do you think you're doing?! Get him a fresh plate?'

Well, they did finish making my dad's order right, but as for my order? they gave him chicken strips. My dad pushed the food back across the counter and just asked for his money back.

I've never had a good experience at KFC. I prefer Church's, or making fried chicken at home.

    Your poor dad.

    That poor manager!

I see that KFC and Taco Bell are both owned by the same corporation. Complain to corporate about them. When I worked at Taco Bell and we'd get a complaint faxed in and the district manager got her copy of it, she'd go absolutely berzerk on the managers there! They sure as hell don't get paid 80 grand a year to sit in an office and do their nails all day.

Pepsi owns both companies. Or did at one time.

Pepsi now does not own these places. about 10 or 15 years ago they spun off their restaurant division into or sold to Tricon which is now YUM. the Pepsi sales people were getting too much shit from other restaurants (non Pepsi owned) they were trying to get to carry Pepsi products

This must be a country wide problem. While I love KFC and their biscuits are overly orgasmic, I can't shell out the extra cash to wait 20 minutes for my food and be treated like a burden when I'm the only car in line.

KFC is more expensive than all the other fast food joints. I could easily to go McDonalds where everyone treats me better, or Arby's or even Culver's and get my food faster and be greeted and treated properly.

I once barely escaped a KFC with my life. At least, it felt that way.

It was busy. CRAZY busy. There were 10 people in line and the line wasn't moving. the girl on the register was one of those "I move at MY speed so f*ck y'all!" types. She was getting increasingly snippy with the customers, and the women in front of me were incredibly angry. They started talking about how they were going to lay into the girl when they got up there. Then the boyfriends/husbands come in. These were large men, heavily tattooed and looking very gangsta. After a few moments of "What the f*ck is goin' on?" and "this stupid b!tch...." all loud enough for the cashier to hear...dirty looks all around...lots of grumbling and angry people......and I ran like hell.
              Hmm...more zombies than usual...

It's too bad that KFC's service has gone downhill (and their prices are high to begin with). They have some good stuff there (especially the biscuits and cole slaw).

Ironically this thread made me hungry for KFC so we had them last night.

Though I conned my parents into picking it up for us.

I think it's actually CHAIN-wide. All the KFCs around here are terrible (which is too bad, cause it's sooooo good as a treat once in a while). I actually ended up with food poisoning last time I went there - the manager rushed to get my food ready after I caught one of her employees licking her fingers as she was handling my food, and it wasn't entirely cooked. *sigh*

I've never had a bad experience at KFC. And the one near me in Phoenix is great. Never much of a wait time and even when i had to go there last minute to pick up a HUGE batch of popcorn chicken for a company picnic the next day, the order took less than 20 minutes and they STILL kept apologizing for the wait.

Had that happen to me once 2 years ago,at this same KFC.

They rushed some strips out for me, and it tasted a bit 'soft' in the middle, and I was sick for 4 days.

The KFC near where I work claimed to have "run out of chicken" when I came in once. They had chicken for sandwiches and nuggets and so forth, but not regular legs, thighs, and breasts. There were a few angry customers to say the least, but they handled themselves pretty well.

According to the manager this happened because they happened to get six very large phone delivery orders all at the same time, apparently. Could they have not turned down the last couple orders and transferred those customers to another KFC location in the city?

Ok, hon, I get that you don't spell that great, and that's fine, but, I'm sorry, this doesn't make any sense sweetpea.....

And now I want KFC and the closest one is about 6 miles and not a quick drive with the traffic.
