I just had to bring this thread back to life.....a recent incident I think you will ALL enjoy!

Picture it, downtown in my Midwest Wisconsin town, Halloween night, 2008. At the bar.

Naturally, my ex and his douchebag parade of friends were out and about. Hell, I have no problem with that. I understand we were both regulars before we even dated, I don't expect him to find a new bar, I don't expect him to not come just because of me. What I do expect? To be left the FUCK alone. Especially when I'm with my friends and a date.

In the previous couple of weekends, it'd been the same scenario....if we walked down the street to another bar, he'd follow. Not obviously follow, but we'd notice he was there too. Every time we went outside to smoke, he'd be there.

Two Saturdays ago, he followed my date and I to the pizza place, stared us down (only I noticed) and he went outside and screamed at my friend that this guy was only after me for sex, blah blah blah...stop her from seeing him, etc etc. Whatever.

So back to Halloween night. Rinse wash repeat, same old as the last couple of weekends....stupid ex following me around nonchalantly. Not right behind me or close by, but always keeping an eye on me.

I ignored him the best I could. THEN it was close to bar close. My date and I were dancing, and Idiot Ex kept walking past us, every few minutes. Despite there being nearly 300 people in a bar made for 100 or less....he somehow kept being able to squeeze around people and watch us.

So I suggested we leave. We went out for a smoke. Noticed he was following. We stopped and talked to random strangers for half of the cigarette, then decided to walk the rest of the way to the pizza place for some food.

The line was going out the door. While we waited and as we slowly approached closer to the front of the line, I texted my drunk friend Dylan to meet up with us.

Idiot Ex somehow managed to get in and wiggle past everyone and he just stood there and stared. For a few minutes, he stood by my date. Then he walked around and stood nearby me and Dylan. As soon as my date was distracted by someone talking to him, at that moment, Idiot Ex got right up in my face and pointed at me and started laughing loudly. I'm not sure why. Then I lost it. I screamed at him "GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME RIGHT NOW! FUCK YOU, GET AWAY!" and he yelled back at me "NO! Fuck YOU, Blas!" and my poor heavily intoxicated friend Dylan yelled "Fuck YOU asshole GO AWAY!" and the pissing match went on for another couple rounds.

Then, as you'd imagine, almost every single guy, including my date, noticed a girl had been yelling at a guy to "GET AWAY FROM ME!"....and they looked. Noticed me. Noticed him.

        And then....

        Wait for it.....wait for it....

He booked it out of there.

He didn't run full force or push his way through. He just walked. Very fast. Out of there.

I didn't see him Saturday night, thank the lord. I'm sure I'll run into him again. The next time he follows me, I'm not ignoring him. I will walk right outside the bar and into the arms of one of the (MANY) police officers that park and stand outside the bars.
